The front porch was flaking and spalling due to de-icers eroding the concrete's surface layer. Rust was also an issue from planters sitting wet for too long. The owner was contemplating the large expense of taring out the entire patio and re-pouring, or finding a solution to work with the existing patio condition.
After consulting with the owner and assessing the current condition of the porch, we decided it was a good candidate and suggested using our grinding system. This entailed removing about 3 millimeters off the top layer - abolishing the rusted, flaking concrete - and exposing the stunning aggregate. Additionally, we used a clear coat to seal the porch.
